We are a structural engineering firm located in Faenza (RA), founded by engineer Marco Peroni in 2010 after 17 years of previous experience in the field.
We develop every kind of project and intervention throughout the entire national territory, especially in Emilia-Romagna, within the private and public sectors.
We help our clients to give structure to their own ideas, whether big or small, going through every phase of the planning and realisation together.
Our versatile approach has led us to take on numerous challenges over the years, which had widened and strengthen our expertise.

Marco Peroni

He graduated in 1992 in Civil and Architectural Engineering from the University of Bologna with honours, presenting an original project about structural calculation under the supervision of mentor Massimo Majowiecki.
He soon founded Enginius Ingegneri Associati with a group of young colleagues, with whom he collaborated for 17 years before starting his own studio.
He has always been interested in big structures and space exploration and he is dedicated to an intense research activity alongside “everyday” engineering.

How we work

We don’t just do calculations and checks: we consider engineering in the broadest sense, taking care of every aspect of the structural concept itself.
We keep a constant communication with the customer base in order to gradually create and adapt the best solution for each individual case.
We like to think that the structure can actively participate in the architectonic process: in order to do so we propose an approach based on the full integration of the engineering solution within the architectonical one (and vice versa).
We are always inclined to design and develop original solutions, whenever the conditions permit: we are certain that sometimes the best direction to take is the one that has not been explored yet.

The importance of research

We greatly value research and we dedicate ourselves to it whenever is possible, in conjunction with our clients’ projects.
We believe that training the brain throughout present and future problems can help us to explore new interpretations which could be useful in everyday practice. This is what experience has taught us during many years of activity.
Our projects have been discussed in various conferences – including the prestigious AIAA-Space in Orlando – and have been presented on numerous newspapers, both online and printed.

Here preparatory sketches and models can be seen among frescos and ancient friezes, in an atmosphere without time that makes our office a place halfway between a museum and a small workshop dedicated to design knowledge.

History of the Ex Chiesa
della Santissima Annunziata

The church was erected in the XV century by the will of the Arciconfraternita del SS. Nome di Maria. The building was then rebuilt towards the middle of the XVIII century on a project by the architects from Faenza Raffaele Campidori and Pietro Tomba (father of the homonymous architect).
After the French occupation of 1797 the Confraternity was untied and its goods, including the church, were expropriated. Thanks to the restoration, the Confraternity obtained again the building even though it could not recover the original economical resources anymore. During the XIX century the building was still used as a place of worship (and in small part also as a residential unit) and probably underwent some little intervention.
In 1927 the church needed restoration interventions. During the Second World War the building was damaged by bombardments and, although the church was not subjected to substantial damages, it was abandoned for many years due to the lack of resources. The building was restored and rebuilt in the early 1980s and it was used as a temporary exhibition space until the first years of the 2000s.
Today the external and internal architectonical components are in good conditions. The 18th century altars present several missing parts, while the two 15th century altarpieces by Jacopone Bertucci and Giovanni Battista Bertucci il Giovane are perfectly intact.
